Early Childhood Education 161

This course introduces students to the development of the child from prenatal stage through the school-age years. Topics such as how to work well with children, developmentally age appropriate activities, components of development (social-emotional, physical, cognitive and language) development of children are discussed in addition to pregnancy related topics. An infant simulation experience is a key project. Upon completion of this course students will earn a “Gateways ECE Credential Level 1”.
