Spanish 463 Studies

Students continue to develop language competency within the context of culturally rich thematic units. Performance-based activities allow students to speak and write more independently in unfamiliar situations. Listening and reading skills are further developed through the use of authentic materials and focus on literal comprehension and inferential interpretation. Practice, review and support are provided regularly, and pacing is adjusted to meet needs of learners. Cultural information and comparisons are drawn from authentic resources and class discussion. Communication in the classroom (teacher-student and/or student-student) takes place in Spanish.

Prerequisite:

  • Recommendation of the Spanish Studies 363 teacher.
