AP Art & Design 183
The focus of this course is to aid students in the development of a portfolio in one of three disciplines: Drawing, 2-Dimensional or 3-Dimensional Design. Students will develop a concentration of work that grows out of a preplanned set of goals and objectives and focuses on creative problem solving and self reflection. The final portfolio will be submitted to the College Board by the AP deadline in May.
Prerequisites for 2-D Design or Drawing:
- 4 semesters required, 5 recommended of:
- Painting 161, Drawing 161, Painting 261, Drawing 261
OR - Photography 161, Photography 261, Drawing 161, Painting 161
AND - Consent of the department following a portfolio review.
Prerequisites for 3-D Design:
- 4 semesters required, 5 recommended of:
- Ceramics 161, Ceramics 261, Art Metals 161, Drawing 161
AND - Consent of the department following a portfolio review.
