Honors News Radio and Sportscasting 371, 471, 571, 671, 771
Students in the News and Sportscasting program may be invited to enroll in this advanced radio broadcasting and leadership course in which students are expected to demonstrate expertise in broadcast journalism, production, and operation of an FM radio station. Students will make content decisions, manage staff production deadlines, mentor staff members, and will learn a variety of organizational and management techniques to assist them in working in professional radio stations. Considerable out-of-class time will be required. Course may be repeated for additional credit.
Prerequisite:
- Successful completion of Introduction Broadcasting 161
- Successful completion of Radio News and Sportscasting 161
- Successful completion of Radio News and Sportscasting 261.
