This course focuses on investing and financial planning strategies by helping students develop skills in the area of wealth management. Topics include the fundamental analysis and selection of investments, risk management, and setting investment goals to achieve financial growth and long-term financial security. Students will participate in a stock market simulation to get the hands-on experience of buying and selling securities. Local industry professionals will visit our class to help students see the connection between class concepts and practice, as well as provide career awareness. This course is ideal for any student who wants to learn about investment planning and the stock market or who wishes to pursue a career in business or finance.
